Class 18.5 Steam Locomotive
A classic that should not be missing on any layout: The elegant class 18.5, member of the S 3/6 family, is generally considered by many railroaders as one of the most beautiful steam locomotives.
Prototype: German State Railroad Company (DRG), Bavarian Group Administration, class 18.5, 4-6-2 design. Brand new unit, paint scheme as the original class S 3/6 for the 1924 Railroad Technical Exhibition in Seddin (near Berlin).
Model: The locomotive and tender are constructed of die-cast metal. The locomotive has a motor with a bell-shaped armature and a flywheel, in the boiler. The locomotive has a built-in digital decoder and sound generator with the formats mfx and DCC. The locomotive and tender are close coupled. 3 axles powered by means of side rods. Traction tires. Warm white LEDs are used for the triple headlights.Length over the buffers 134 mm / 5-1/4.
This locomotive is appearing as part of 100 Years of the International Railroad Technical Exhibition at Seddin and 175 Years of the Munich Main Station.
A passenger train to go with this locomotive can be made up using items 15323, 15324, and 15325.
