N analog Diesellok MY 1139 DSB
Der schwedische Lokbauer Nydqvist och Holm AB (NOHAB) erhielt 1949 die Lizenz zum Bau von EMD Lokomotiven für Europa. Als Basis diente die sechsachsige australische B Class der Victoria Railway. Die Konstruktion wurde der UIC-Norm, insbesondere dem schmaleren Lichtraumprofil angepasst, außerdem erhielt die Lok europäische Zug und und Stoßeinrichtungen.
Bei Anglo-Franco-Belge (AFB) wurde die Loks für die belgische und luxemburgische Bahn gebaut. NOHAB Lokomotiven standen bei den Staatsbahnen von Dänemark, Norwegen, Belgien, Luxemburg und Ungarn im Einsatz. Heute finden sich noch zahlreiche Exemplare u.a. bei Privatbahnen in Deutschland, Schweden, Dänemark, Norwegen, Ungarn, Belgien, Luxemburg und dem Kosovo im aktiven Dienst.
